Chess in Bed || explores the fragile boundary between the body, the subconscious, and the silent logic of inner games.
A reclining female figure appears suspended in a state between rest and awareness. The chessboard/partially slipping into the composition/ suggests a game that is no longer controlled by rationalthought/ but continues within the body itself - thought sensation/ memory/ and instinct.
Scaterredpieces imply that the structure has already begun to dissolve. Strategy gives way to vulnerability; control softens into surrender. The contrast between light and shadow reflects an internal shift - where the danker elements gradually lose their dominance/ allowing a quieter/ lighter presence to emerge.
The work is not about victory of defeat/ but about the moment when the mind releases its grip/ and the body becomes the space where the game continues - slower/ deeper/ and beyond full awareness.
